Job Seekers Support Group

Mondays 10 a.m. – Noon and Wednesdays, 6-8 p.m. starting February 3

Need a job? Looking for a different job? Underemployed? We will take a structured approach to job seeking, finding the right job or career for you. FREE due to a grant from the Capital Region Community Foundation.

Caregiver’s Support Group

1st & 3rd Mondays, 1 - 2:30 p.m.

This group is designed for women taking care of a loved one who has a long term or terminal illness. Preregistration is required.

Real Talk About Health and Wellness

Mondays from 6-8:00 p.m.

Real Talk About Health and Wellness is a cognitive behavioral therapeutic group. This group teaches women self-care management by replacing faulty ways of thinking with constructive beliefs to help promote a well-managed healthy way of living. Real Talk About Health and Wellness aims to:

  • Create a female friendly environment
  • Promote positive self-awareness
  • Empower women to engage in positive activities
  • Build self-esteem
  • Teach women to recognize their own skills, strengths and abilities.

Not So Happy Endings Support Group

Tuesdays, 6 - 7:45 p.m.

A group for women who are ending relationships and want some support and resources to get through it. Please contact Claudia at 896-3311 before attending the group.

Sexual Assault Survivor Support Group

Hope and healing for women who have experienced sexual assault. Adult Rape Support Group meets Wednesdays from 6:30-7:45 p.m. for women who have experienced rape as an adult.

Pre-registration required. One incest group and the adult rape group are currently accepting new members.

Groups meet at the Women’s Center unless otherwise noted. Please contact the Center for more information or to register for any of these groups.
